The Scarecrow Festival of Bucks County 2009
Today (Labor Day) kicks off the Annual Peddlers Village Scarecrow Contest that runs from Labor Day to October 25th when the winners will be announced based on votes by the passer-by public.
The Scarecrow Festival, itself, will be this upcoming Saturday and Sunday on the 12th and 13th, but the Scarecrows came out today in full force to begin the festivities!
The participants can win money and prizes of up to $5,000 so this is no joke... past submissions have proven to be super creative and fun to look at and would certainly scare more than a crow if they were near my house... :)
